This system is our prefered one. Not only you'll learn how to reduce electricity bills up to 80%, but the author will also show you  how you can eliminate them completely too.

For example, you'll be taught how it is possible to build your own wind generator for less than $200.

I've loved this book, because all these techniques are very clear and easy to apply. Most of the time, the necessary parts you'll need will be easily found at your local hardware store (or maybe laying around already).

MPH will show you all details to make your own electricity at home.

Usind wind generators or building solar panels yourself.

You certainly know that solar panels are the most expensive parts of a solar power system, but did you know that you can actually save thousands of dollar if you build them yourself.

Their instructions are quite simple and easy to follow too.

Here are a few examples of what you'll find in their book:
  • The process of wind power and how you can benefit from it,
  • Reducing power bills in just a few simple steps,
  • How to build a power generator,
  • Great ideas that the Earth will benefit from,
  • etc, etc...

For those of you wanting to have answers to questions they are asking to themselves about renewable energy solutions.

- Where to find the best places to purchase the necessary parts you need to build a wind generator, and at best prices!

- Tips and tricks to reduce your oil dependance: a real money saver (see the recent price increase in traditional energy source)
- Instruction manual constantly updated

As years go by, we always need more and more energy to feed all the heating, cooling and comfort installations of our home, not to mention tons of power greedy electronic equipments and appliances we have. Furthermore, this precious energy never stops to weigh in our monthly budget.

Why shoudn't we use these endless resources which are wind and sun, that we have at our disposal for free? What are we waiting to use these clean energies?

Years ago, the good reason was that this green technology was very expensive and not so efficient that it is nowadays. But things have now changed: progress has been made and thanks to new materials  and new technologies. We now have no excuse.

What is Passive Solar Energy? PDF Print E-mail
by Joe Young

Solar panels can be used to create the type of solar energy that does not require mechanical aid called passive solar energy. This type of technology uses sunlight to provide heating and cooling of water and air.

This is quite interesting in that the very design and location of a home will be based on this technology. The altitude of the sun in winter and summer, and the geographical location of your home, are all variables in utilizing passive solar energy. One example of passive solar energy would be a sunroom, or commonly called a solarium.

Passive solar energy can be used based on the construction of a house to supply energy for heat, and to cool your home. Heat is ventilated into your home after storage. You can also heat your water using passive solar energy.

It has been noted that solar panels used to generate passive solar energy to heat water generate more power than those used for generating electricity. Maybe we should call passive solar energy, straight sun power - uncensored.

The trick to passive solar energy is that it doesn't have to convert solar energy into electricity, thus losing a certain amount of energy in the process. What you're left with is a more efficient heating and cooling system than you would have if you converted solar energy into electricity and then used that solar energy for your water heater, A/C, electric heat registers, and other such appliances.

However, you may want to complement the cooling aspect of this system with a dehumidifier or two, to take the humidity out of the air, which can make the cooling feel a lot more efficient, or you may even want to have an air conditioner for back up for particularly hot days that reach degrees in the three digits. People in Texas and Nevada, Arizona, will need this.

Solar panels will cover about 1/3 the total square feet of your home. Whether you are using panels for passive solar energy or solar energy for electricity, or both, the cost savings is worth it. In time it will pay for the initial cost of installation.

Installing your home solar energy system right the first time with aid of a professional will position you to enjoy free energy safe for the environment and beneficial to your family. Not to mention, increase the value of your home.

As always I like to remind everyone that although the cost may be high at first, there is financial aid and breaks available from your local state. Just log on and search for solar power financial aid. There are great incentives given due to the ever increasing awareness of the condition of our environment. These incentives are much like the ones for owning an electric car.

So, we hope that you have been given something to think about as you consider using solar energy for your home. After all the sun is going to shine and not bill you for its services. The only initial charge is the upfront installation of the system itself.

Solar Panels Became a Real Alternative for Everyone PDF Print E-mail
by Mark Gavalda

The European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), sat down together with the 50 of the industry's top CEOs for a discussion and round table in Valencia, Spain at the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, to redefine industry objectives given recent technology progress and rising energy prices. The members of this meeting agreed that PV solar energy could provide 12% of European electricity demand by 2020.

The goal will be reached progressively from 2010 onwards in several European markets. Countries with the highest solar irradiation and higher electricity prices, for example Italy and Spain, have the potential to reach it in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Grid parity is expected to be reached in Germany by 2015 and cover progressively most other EU countries up until 2020.

Solar Energy Panels For Home PDF Print E-mail
by Joseph Young
U
sing solar energy for your home is a great idea, both in costs and eliminating the need for the standard on-grid power from your power company. Solar panels can both supply electricity and/or heat for your water at home.

Photovoltaic cells, or solar cells, convert light into electricity. Solar panels take the suns energy and convert solar power into electricity that you can use to run everything in your home. These systems, called renewable energy systems, can harness enough solar energy so that your reliance on the power company is severely limited.

Most homes that use solar energy panels use them on the ground, the walls, and roof. Many are still attached to the local utility company. A small percentage rely solely on photovoltaic cell power by itself.
